Emanuel Pelz, born in 1990, grew up in an eastern German town, close to Berlin. From there, he later set out to visit a number of foreign countries. Instead of doing military service after school, he worked in a theatre and circus school in Brazil for 9 months. After that, he moved to Leipzig to study Media Art and Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 2015, he spent time a semester abroad at the Listaháskóli Íslands in Reykjavík. His work as a filmmaker and VR- artist focuses on storytelling, cultural aspects and politics. His work is often related to documentary filmmaking and interactive narration.
